Pop-Up Markets

Vendor FAQ:

• Set-up time: 11AM - 2PM (please plan to have your booth set up by 2 PM)

• Booth size: Standard 10’ x 10’ space with weights on each corner equaling or more than 40lbs. You WILL be turned away if you do not have weights as it is a safety hazard for those with tents. 

• Vendors are responsible for providing their own tables, tents, and displays.

• This market has a 50 vendor cap and we will close applications when either that cap is met OR by the 8/1 deadline - whichever comes first. 

• We offer a sliding scale vendor fee from $45 to $95 max to pay our organizer, offset costs of advertising, vendor snacks and drinks, organizer stipend, event insurance, and more. 

• Vendors can opt-in to donate a percentage of their sales to our beneficiary - Collar City Pride. A Big Gay Market will also be donating a percentage of our vendor fees once collected to Collar City Pride.

• This is a family-friendly event. Please ensure your booth content is inclusive and appropriate for all ages.

• All food vendors must supply proof of Commercial General Liability insurance, worker’s compensation (C105.2) and disability (DB-120.1) OR a Certificate of Attestation of Exemption (CE-200) and list the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District and City of Troy as additionally insured. They must also obtain a food permit from the Rensselaer County Department of Health and deliver a copy of the permit along with insurance certificate to the Downtown Troy BID office at least one week prior to the event. The health permit must also be presented on site.

• This market does NOT have a rain date and will not have a rain date. We are at the discretion of Collar City Pride and their weather calls and decisions. Vendor fees will not be refunded but can be transferred to a larger A Big Gay Market in 2027 if you so choose.
